Historically pro-union New York is not necessitating a project labor agreement in the I-81 viaduct removal project’s latest contract to better its odds of federal funding, according to Syracuse.com.
Trying to play the make-President-Trump-happy game has mixed results in New York (Trump Station, Columbia University, etc…), but Salt City does desperately need to move on from a chapter of urban renewal that has left lasting scars on Syracuse’s Black community.
The bill for the project doubling could also be a factor…
