Thursday Headlines: We Have A Budget Edition
Praise be, the state has a budget.
The state Legislature wrapped up voting on the last budget bills late last night. While Streetsblog has been largely focused on the transportation aspects of the $268 billion spending plan, a wide range of policies made it into the final budget.
And as much as lawmakers would have loved to debate them for hours as they normally do, keep in mind that they have missed four consecutive paychecks as a result of the budget being nearly two months late.
You could see them lining up to collect their pay in the wee hours last night.
If you want to catch up on the entirety of the mammoth legislation approved yesterday, our friends at Gothamist, City & State and State of Politics did a lovely job keeping New Yorkers informed.
